Job Description
1. Provide advice to the Deputy DG in charge of Benefits on all matters related to medical benefits:
– Advise the Deputy DG in charge of Benefits on medical claims
– Giving opinion on the appropriateness of medical claims
– Analyse statistical data, such as mortality, accident, sickness, disability, and retirement rates and construct probability tables to forecast risk and liability for payment of future benefits. May ascertain premium rates required and cash reserves necessary to ensure payment of future benefits
– Conduct and analyses accidents investigations and risk management;
– Recommending practices that would promote a good working environment for RSSB, Public Health service and Doctors working with RSSB;
2. Analyse and endorse Medications and medical benefits to RSSB beneficiaries:
– Analysing and endorsing some specific recommended medications and medical procedures/acts
3. Investigate non compliance, malpractices and fraudulent practices with RSSB Partners and make recommendations:
– Investigating and obtaining information about any cases of fraud and malpractices relating to medical claims and preparing files for the anti
– fraud commission
– Visiting health facilities to ensure compliance to guidelines and rational practices
4. Provide medical support to different departments under social security Benefits:
– Make regular follow up of RSSB workplace health and safety;
– Design an evaluation scheme of disability rates;

– up of physical condition of occupational hazards’ victims
– Ensuring if the medical nomenclature and tariffs are in place and updated
– Contributing to the revision of a list of reimbursable drugs by RSSB
5. Ensure timely reporting in appropriate framework:
– Produce periodic reports and submit to the hierarchy
– Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Job Profile
AO in Medicine with 3 years of working experience or Master’s Degree in Medicine with 1 Year of working experience.
